Mike had an appointment with his oncologist and completed his 3rd infusion on Monday of this week. Dr. Young says his side effects, while totally sucky, are normal…which I suppose is what you want to hear, right? Working on getting the right meds to get his pain under control. One major side effect has been some all over arthritis and a lot of pain from his tumor and spine lesions which makes for some slow days getting up and at ’em. He will have a PET scan coming up soon on May 7th. Docs say it takes about 12 weeks (4 treatments) for things to really get cranking so he (and we) will be anxious for that date.
This morning, Mike woke up with a fever. (Throwing us a curveball not showing up on a Thursday) With his arsenal of meds he was able to get it under control quickly.
So if you have a moment today, please send Mike’s body strength that it can stave of this fever and issue a stern warning to his medicine that it better do it’s job, kick this fever to the curb and keep him out of the hospital.
Your continued thoughts, prayers and overall good vibes and energy sent Mike’s way are incredibly appreciated and welcome! Mike sends his love to you all.
